Tape Bounces
Seeking that “analog warmth” that plug-ins just can’t quite achieve? Send us your mix! We’ll print your stereo mix to our Ampex ATR-102 ½” machine and send it right back to you. We’ll use a fresh reel of ATR ½” tape. Our machine has been aligned for this specific use by our friends at Myriad Magnetic. The cost for this service is $60/song, or $50 for 2 or more songs.
We’ve done many comparisons of mixes to tape vs. digital, and even vs. a variety of tape plug-ins, including plug-in emulations of our specific machine. The real tape wins every time. Hear it for yourself!
Stem Printing
We can also offer stem printing of your project to either our 16 or 24 track Otari MTR 90 tape machines. Feel free to inquire along with more details about your project, as this requires a custom quote.
Tape Transfers
Got an old tape lying around that you’d like to see digitized? Get in touch! We can handle most formats, including ¼”, ½”, 2”, DAT, and cassette. We’re also equipped for tape baking, which gives older tape in poor shape a better chance of surviving the transfer process.
